Who We Are
The Center for Dynamic Education, L.L.C., is a consortium of educators whose goal is to provide quality learning opportunities for teachers, administrators, and others interested in gifted education. CDE's primary focus is to help meet the unique needs of highly capable young people.
What We Offer
CDE's annual summer institute provides a survey of gifted education taught by experienced practitioners. This five-day program is designed for K-12 teachers, administrators, program planners and parents.
Tailored solutions including staff development and program development can be designed for an individual school district's needs. CDE has worked with districts in both Washington and Oregon with customized programs on curriculum mapping, building community between parents and schools, planning differentiation and much, much more.
CDE was founded in 1999. Since then, eight summer institutes have been hosted in Washington and Oregon. CDE has worked in schools and districts throughout the two states.

The strongest premise on which to build a program for the gifted is that every student has a right to an education that is "appropriate" for her or him. This principle applies to all students, from the most handicapped child to the most gifted. To provide for the gifted, therefore, is not undemocratic, as is so often implied; it is in the best tradition of American schools.
